The Pioneer Summit 2019

6/13/2019

The Lord tremendously blessed this year at the Pioneer Summit!
Bro Barry Gautreaux preached outstanding Friday night on "The Call, The Challenge, The Culture, The Cost, & The need to stay Connected. This was a powerful message that should be heard by Pentecostal Pioneers everywhere!
The Seminar on Saturday was tremendous as well. Bro Joseph Snow spoke concerning the desperate need that we all have to stay connected to each other. It was amazing to see how the Lord used him to pick right up where Bro Gautreaux left off on Friday night.
Officer Darin Shipley shared some amazing experiences from his 20 years of service to the Tulsa community, and Bro Ben Baker gave a challenging discourse on getting involved at the local level to make a difference in the direction of our communities.
Thank you to all of those who made the trip to West Plains for this years Summit!
I believe it was the greatest year we have had thus far.

The H.O.P.E. Project - Spring Update

4/19/2019

Picture
Praise the Lord! He has been gracious and merciful toward us!  Psalm 145:8 declares "The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy"

H.O.P.E. project Indianapolis Operations is underway.  God has provided a burden for the homeless of our city and we are responding to that burden.  More and more of our brothers and sisters in the Lord are being drawn by this burden for the least and the lost.

Some exciting updates to share:
As a direct answer to prayer God has provided a 15 passenger van to help meet transportation needs. This simple purchase of a van came with an unexpected surprise!  When the seller became aware of what we were going to use the van for he cut the price, asked how he could help, and he got involved!  We will hopefully be able to share some exciting details about his involvement in a future update...

We have been provided with an open door to teach Bible study at a faith-based soup kitchen on Thursday evenings.  This unexpected invitation has become a great opportunity to declare the Word of the Lord.

The winter contingency is ending this month so lots of folks will be turned out from the downtown shelters by the 15th of April. This means we will have a lot more individuals needing our love and support in the months ahead.  We stand ready and willing to express the love of God in any way He gives us direction.

We will continue to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to our friends in their hour of need. What we are most passionate about however, is planting the seed of the Gospel.  Our focus is Christ for He is our greatest need!

Earnestly pray for us that we will continue to allow God to use us for His Glory.

The 5th Annual Pioneer Summit2019

4/9/2019

Picture
The Pioneer Summit is a meeting designed for individuals who feel the burden to work in outreach in their home church and beyond.
We believe that America has become the priority mission field.

It is our desire to create an atmosphere where Pastors, Evangelists, Lay preachers, church members, families, youth groups, etc. can come and be stirred to start where you are and get involved in reaching the familiar fields of home.

The American church has been the means which God has used to reach the world for decades, but we must not fail to create a strong Home Missions base as well!

This year we are hosting - The Pioneer Summit - at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in West Plains, Mo. On Friday evening there will be a church service in the tabernacle with special guest speaker Rev. Barry Gautreaux - Pioneer Pastor from Pine Prairie, Louisiana. He will be delivering encouragement and instruction, while drawing from his 20 years of experience on the Pioneer Front. Then on Saturday we will go across the street to the church annex building for a Seminar Setting accompanied by a refreshing lunch. We will have 3 special speakers on Saturday:

·         Bro Joseph Snow - who has served as a Tulsa Police Chaplain for the last 2 years. He will be speaking specifically on the need for peer support among the ministry - especially as it relates to pioneer ministries. He has received extensive training on the subject and has been used effectively by God to help those who are suffering from P.T.S.D.

·         Bro Darin Shipley - who is a 20-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Force. He will speak from a Police Officer’s perspective concerning how a church should positively affect a community. In his years of experience, he has seen first-hand how a church has the potential to influence a crime-stricken community with the powerful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

·         Bro Ben Baker - who is currently serving as the Missouri State Representative for the 160th District. He has previously served as a Councilman of the city of Neosho, as well as the Mayor of Neosho, Missouri. He will discuss the need for conservative Pentecostal Holiness people to get involved in our communities so that we may see a positive change to our local governments.

We would love for you to attend The Pioneer Summit, and if you are planning on coming please R.S.V.P. by May 1st and we will take care of your accommodations. If you would like to pursue your own reservations, please note - The Holiday Inn Express in West Plains has given C.P.T. a special rate of $94.00 per night. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me personally.

A reminder from the past -

1/23/2019

Picture
This is a pic we took of a Pioneer church that we ran across in our travels out west this past year. It still stands at the base of the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming - as a reminder of a previous generation that had the burning desire to carry the Gospel into an unfamiliar area. OUR MISSION STATEMENT here at Maranatha Missions is "to encourage the pioneer spirit" among this upcoming generation so that they may take upon them the responsibility of reaching souls for Christ in the forgotten fields of Home!
I pray as we enter into this New Year that God would, more than ever before, put a pioneer spirit in the hearts of this young generation so that they may go forth into unfamiliar territory and build the Kingdom of Heaven!

Our Mission:                              Encouraging the Pioneer Spirit!

A look back at the Sept. mission trip to Castle Rock, Co.
So thankful for those who helped!
We pray that God continues to bless Pastor James McCoy and the pioneer church there.

Update from Phoenix Church Plant

3/10/2018

Hello my brother. Just wanted to drop you an update.

We've still been in touch with four of the families that came to revival. One has been attending Bible studies regularly. One of the others has been helping us do outreach. We have had fellowship and dinner a couple of times with Bro. Joe and his family as well. We have continued to do outreach in downtown Phoenix preaching and passing out tracts.

We decided to move to another school building. Beginning this weekend we will be renting a gymnasium and using storage on site for chairs and such. We will be announcing this move through a mailer to about 3,500 homes within a 2 mile radius. We will officially "re-launch" on Easter Sunday. We will be having an Easter Egg hunt after church with an Easter Bunny (me) and a bounce house. We are pumped about this and are believing God for a great turnout. The school is Constitution Elementary at 18440 N 15th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85023 about 7 miles west of where we were meeting. Kim and Betty are fully on board and said they'd follow anywhere Riverside Church went.

Bro. Noah and Desert Cove Assembly are getting ready for Fellowship Meeting next week. We are all really excited about that.

We are believing God and shining the light of Christ in this dark area. I just did another check on the statistics. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the country. It is the largest capital city and the fastest growing city in the country. The population is 1,600,000. Of those, 14% of the population (approximately 200,000) are Evangelical Christians. If half of those (that's generous) are really saved, that means that there are about 1.5 million lost souls right here in Phoenix. America's National average is about 45%, Phoenix is 14%. It is up to the 1,200 churches and 100,000 Christians to turn back the tide on the darkness. We are striving to be one of those churches, and in the Lord's time we will sponsor another church, and another.

Thank you for your support, encouragement and friendship. Feel free to forward to others who can help us pray. I feel the tide is turning.

Please pray for the upcoming Mission Trip to Phoenix, Az.

9/29/2017

We are hosting a tent revival in Phoenix, Arizona October 27 - November 2. Please help us pray that God would give us a harvest of souls, and that pioneer Pastor Trey Dickerson and his family would receive strength and encouragement. We are asking for prayer support for this pioneer work in Phoenix. They have been meeting in a school building for the last year, and this tent revival is a kick off for a new storefront location that they will be opening following the revival.

Pioneer Summit 2017

6/9/2017

What a wonderful time we had at the Pioneer Summit this year in Tuscaloosa, Al. at Bro Larry West's church. It truly was a time of encouraging fellowship and uplifting Holy Ghost services. The Friday morning class on "Fasting" taught by Bro Tracy & Sis Shea Boyd was timely and challenging. And the heart felt Preaching by Bro Barry Gautreaux was absolutely tremendous! God visited us greatly in every altar service.
I personally had more than one Pioneer Pastor tell me that it was a life changing event for them and that they never had been helped in a church service like they were helped this week! Praise God!

Financial Accountability is Foremost

4/10/2017

It has been our great privilege to welcome Rev. Dwain Galiher
to the Board of Directors here at Maranatha Missions this year!

Bro. Galiher will be serving as Treasurer/Financial Advisor.

Financial Accountability is very important to us here at Maranatha Missions.

Bro Galiher is a man of great integrity and we are honored to work with him.

We are looking forward to what the upcoming years will bring and we are excited
to see so many people catching the vision for Home Missions.

It is high time to #MakeAmericaOurMissionField

Revival in Middletown - Feb. 6-8

2/11/2017

Picture
We were thankful to be able to take a trip to support the pioneer work in Middletown Ohio. God is blessing the efforts of Bro Kevin Allen and his family. Below you will find a testimonial from him concerning the recent Maranatha Missions trip.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus! Just wanted to give a praise report for the great things God has done in our recent revival with Maranatha Missions. I am so thankful that the Lord is mindful of His people. I can honestly say the Lord answered my prayers in a great way. The first night bro. Josh Spurlock preached and had dealt with some issues that I had already been preaching to my people lately and it was a confirmation to several folks that God was desiring a deeper commitment from them.
Tuesday night the presence of the Lord just swept through the building in a special way! As a pastor, you just know of different situations going on with families in the church and as the service progressed and Bro. Joseph Snow preached I could see how God was working in so many different directions with different people all at the same time! It was so encouraging to watch our people step out and get the help that they needed from the Lord.
By Wednesday night we were all pumped and came expecting great things again. I can honestly say if God helped anyone that night He helped my family. My wife and I had been going through something specific that she felt like the Lord had given her a promise on and she had about given up because it wasn’t working out the way we thought it would. The preacher that night, Bro. Trent Blair, preached on "prepared promises" and through his message the Lord confirmed His word to my wife and I in ways that only He knew and revived out faith to believe Him again for our situation! That night many had an absolute breakthrough in their lives!
I really truly believe when we get further down the road we will be looking back to this revival and someone will testify that it all started from there. We ask that you would just keep us in your prayers that we can keep moving forward in the work of the Lord. We are praying for God to send us some dependable help in different areas that we may grow our Sunday school and more establish the church. There is a need here in our Sunday school and if we can get it filled I believe we can make some headway in the neighborhood. Our prayer is that which Christ requested when He said pray for laborers to enter into the harvest. May God bless each one that has taken time to seek the Lord on our behalf.

- Bro. Kevin Allen

New Church Building in Swainsboro, Ga.

12/30/2016

We are rejoicing with Bro. Dean Martin's family and the folks in Swainsboro, Ga. as God has blessed them to be able to finish their new church building just in time for Christmas. They held their first service in the new building on Christmas Sunday morning! Below you can see a few of the pics that outline their journey into this new church building. They acquired the property with an old rundown house, which they had to tear down. Then they were able to work the land and get the  metal structure in place. After a lot of hard work and God's hand of blessing on the project they now have a beautiful place of worship. Continue to pray with the folks at Perfected Love Holiness Church in Swainsboro, Ga. that God would fill the seats of this new building with souls added to the Kingdom of Heaven!

Arkadelphia Holiness Tab. Remodel

It was such a blessing to be able to stop by Arkadelphia Holiness Tabernacle and be with Pastor Abdias Cervantes, and to see all of the progress that they have made since we were here last. They have done an extensive remodel on the building that they recently acquired and it looks wonderful!

We were blessed to be able to be a small part of what God is doing at AHT by helping them to install a new Heating and Cooling system in their church.
Below is a pic of the HVAC installation crew!

Maine - a Mission Field

9/1/2016

We were blessed with the opportunity to visit Bro. Billy McCalip and his wonderful family, and see the pioneer work that they are doing near Portland, Maine. God has blessed their efforts greatly. There was such a wonderful presence of God in the service, and the people there are very hungry for the moving of the Holy Ghost! We were excited to meet these great people and are thankful for how God is moving on the pioneer front in the mission field of the beautiful state of Maine! Please put these fine folks on your prayer list! They need to feel the support and strength that only prayer can give!

Doing what we can to assist the works in Colorado & Montana!

8/7/2016

It was great to be able to visit Bro James McCoy and his family in Castle Rock, Co.
We had a wonderful service and a great time of
fellowship with the folks from Liberty Holiness Tab.
We were thankful to be able to assist them in getting
some much needed musical equipment.
It is such a blessing to see the work they are doing there in Colorado
and to see how the Lord had moved in such a miraculous way
to provide a place for them to have service!

We weren't able to attend the tent revival in Polson, MT. this year but we were able to send funds to help
sponsor the outreach meeting. Bro Paul Blanton said
that 17 visitors came and prayed throughout the
week of revival. Praise God!

Pioneer Summit 2016

6/6/2016

Summit - "A conference or meeting of high-level leaders,
usually called to shape a program of action."

We are so thankful for the wonderful attendance of this year's Pioneer Pastor's Meeting hosted by Bro Tracy Boyd in Sterlington, La. We had a great move of God, and a wonderful time of fellowship. It was such a blessing to have Bro. Russell MacDonald minister this year! God greatly used him to encourage the pioneer pastors. It was also a blessing to have Bro and Sis Boyd teaching again this year. God used them to deal with a very tough subject that all who are working on the pioneer fields are familiar with -"Loneliness". We have heard many great reports and testimonies from those who attended how God worked in their lives to strengthen them in a powerful way!

Partnering with Brotherhood Mutual Ins

4/24/2016

Here at Maranatha Missions Inc. we have been endeavoring to partner with Brotherhood Mutual Insurance to join a program in which Brotherhood is willing to donate funds for the furtherance of the vision of Maranatha Missions. Below is a picture of the Donation Check that Brotherhood Mutual presented to us this year in June. We are grateful for their contribution.
They have been a blessing to the ministry of Maranatha Missions! This donation will be used on several upcoming projects that we have planned to assist several pioneer works.

Tuscaloosa Mission Trip 2015

11/1/2015

Bro Joseph Snow was able to take a group on a mission trip to Tuscaloosa Al. to be with Bro Larry West. God moved in a powerful way in this meeting!! You can read a testimonial from Pastor West below:
“In February 2011 we started Refuge Holiness Tabernacle. It is our desire to see people won to Christ and see Pentecostal, Trinitarian, holiness churches reestablished in the Central Alabama area. After many years in the ministry, I will admit it has been the toughest task I have ever undertaken.  This is where Maranatha Missions come in to the picture. Like Saul to the Israelites, "Ye shall have help!" Maranatha Missions have been a Godsend.  From the revivals they have held, teaching classes on how to witness, to phone calls with words of encouragement, God has given us strength and courage through this ministry.  As I watched them, along with our church members go door to door, handing out flyers and witnessing, I really felt as if we were following the biblical command of “go to the highway and hedges.” Some of our congregation had never been around holiness people, and the wonderful spirit of all those that came with Maranatha Missions has left a lasting impression on them all.” – Rev. Larry West, Tuscaloosa, Al.

Pray for the Pioneers out West

8/16/2015

We had the privilege this summer to take a trip out west to visit pioneer works in Colorado and Montana. There is a vast mission field right here in the U.S.A. As we visited major cities like Denver, CO. and Salt Lake City, UT, my heart went out to all of those people there who do not have a conservative voice crying out the Truth of God's Word.

We are thankful for the work that Bro James McCoy is doing in Castle Rock, Co. just south of Denver. He has opened a church up in his basement and God is blessing their labor. Please pray for them that God would send them a harvest of souls.

We were also privileged to visit Bro Paul Blanton in Polson, MT. What a wonderful service! The church there is full of new life and excitement. I believe God has great plans for the Blantons in this area. Pray for them as they continue to labor on the pioneer front in Northern Montana.
